Minutes of the March meeting of the Niagara Secular Humanists

Location: North China Buffet, St Catharines

Attending: 8 members and 10 non-members

1. Vice-President John Berry brought the meeting to order. John gave the secretary's report saying the last meeting had been to see the movie Creation at the Pen Centre.

2. Treasurer Roy Blake read the treasurer's report. $15.76 paid to President Horst Klaus for printing expenses. $213.00 had been collected in dues leaving a balance of $467.43.

3. Dave Thomas spoke briefly about the Cuban Canadian Friendship Society's coming trip to Cuba to visit local hospitals and meet with the local government.

4. Phil Curtis gave a brief report about the recent convention hosted by Centre For Inquiry in Toronto

5. Everyone participated in a 50 question quiz entitled What Do You Really Know About the Bible? As an example, the first question is “What is the last of the Ten Commandments?”, the correct response is “Don't boil a young goat in the milk of its mother”. John Berry won with 37 correct answers.

6. The meeting ended at 9:00 PM.
